Southeast Guilford Community Association Meeting Minutes

 Visitors: Max and Zack Schwartz, Dan Donovan (CFO Hamlet Associates, Climax, NC)

Max and Zack reported that the shopping area now under construction would include

a dry cleaner, hair salon, two restaurants and other stores for a total of 9 businesses.  Major drug stores are not interested because of the low traffic count.  There is an outparcel for sale.  Mid-Atlantic is planning to retain ownership of the retail space and will be closely monitor the type of business that buys the outparcel.  Completion date will be April 2008. 

A possible link from our website was discussed.  

 Minutes from October 15, 2007 were approved as submitted.

Government Relations (David Gearhart, Darin Thomas, Rosemarie Williams, Dan Rogers):  Dave reported that Brantley Tillman hopes to have a rezoning meeting date published soon.  Darin reported that the Lowes Food store lot is being surveyed now for water/sewer service.

Finance (Rosemarie Williams, Lloyd Dickerson):  no report

Membership Committee (David Gearhart, Lloyd Dickerson, Margie Cockman):No report

2008 meetings will be held on second Thursday of each month
